Before buying this iPartner BB-9000 battery, I read many unhappy reviews from folks who'd purchased supposedly new Blackberry D-X1 batteries for just a few dollars only to find out that they weren't new at all and wouldn't hold a charge. I've had no problems like that with the iPartner BB-9000. It is a new high quality aftermarket battery that comes sealed in retail packaging and it works great. I had been having so many problems with my Blackberry Storm2 9550 that I went to the local Verizon store to look at new smartphones. The store manager looked at my 18 month old battery, saw the bulges and said a new $40 battery would probably take care of the problems. I thought I could do better via the internet and I have with this battery, which holds a charge longer than the original battery did when my phone was brand new. I bought this Cinch Power Bank 7 months ago, and it has already fallen apart. It worked great the first few months, then I noticed that it wouldn't hold it's charge - I had to keep it on the charger so that I could use it when I needed it. It got to the point where it would drain completely if it sat for more than a day. This past week, while on a business trip, it failed completely - the mini input port came loose inside the unit, and it now pushed in, so nothing can be plugged in.

My BlackBerry Storm is over two years old and had been giving me problems for a few months. When I was using Verizon Navigator it would crash and the battery would end up completely discharged. Also when I plugged it in to charge in the evening it would not charge and I would get an error message about the charger not being capable of charging the battery. Sometimes this could be cured by re-booting (battery pull) and plugging in again. I found this battery on Amazon for 20 bucks and gave it a try. All problems solved. Yeah!

The wire that is wound up that is made to be stretched open so you don't get the wire tangled is flimsy and cheap. It popped right out of the circular containment and the metal springs broke. This happened as I opened it SLOWLY. So now I have a flimsy wire I need to be extra careful rolling to store. I had this for months but the seller never contacted me back, despite their good feedback reviews. The internal copper wire close to the output port is slightly exposed so I've had to use electric tape to keep it covered and hopefully won't bend inside to lose a connection. The positive is that it does come with virtually all adaptors for different phones and mp3 devices. Unfortunately though, it does not hold a long charge and typically this should be used in emergencies (which is what I purchased it for) so I find myself charging it up a few times a week to have it prepared. Even if it's fully charged, when I turn it off for 2 hours and try to charge it again, it seems to take another few more hours to charge up. Perhaps my device is defective, but I wouldn't know because it's past the return date and didn't want to ship it back without speaking to someone first. Would have been nice to have one of my 4 calls returned.

I have 3 Android devices that travel with myself and my wife. Charge this up and it will extend my Asus Eee Pad Transformer to double the 8.5 usual hours of run time. I like this unit when it works. I found out that if my phone get's below 50% it will not charge. But If I start charging at 70% it works great. So If you use it just to top off your power it works great.

After using the IMP50D for several months I am very happy with the performance. I have two and keep them with me wherever I go. It has been a perfect match for my everyday use.
